Alianzas

V&C has developed professional relationships that enhance our ability to serve our clients in Mexico and abroad.

We have formal cooperation agreements with two environmental organizations:

  • Colegio de Ingenieros Ambientales de Mexico, A.C. (CINAM), a Mexican association of environmental engineers that collaborate on environmental standards issues and that certifies experts in environmental engineering; and
  • Instituto Ambiental Centroamericano (IACA), a regional environmental organization attached to the Instituto Universitario “Paulo Freire” that links a multidisciplinary team of environmental lawyers and technical environmental specialists (marine biologists, ecologists, foresters, engineers, landscape architects, sociologists, and economists) available to assist public- and private-sector clients in environmental matters.

To help our clients with public relations and lobbying efforts in Mexico, we regularly refer them to Guerra Castellanos & Asociados, an experienced public relations firm.

When a client’s business plan requires legal assistance outside our areas of expertise, we refer the client to a lawyer whom we trust to handle the matter.

For project-finance expertise, for example, we may refer the client to our colleague Emilio Valero Pérez Vargas, a U.S.-trained Mexican lawyer whose practice includes mergers & acquisitions, as well as debt restructuring.
